1. Access Code:
The PIN number by which you join a conference; can be a moderator, a speaker or a participant PIN number.

2. Accounting Codes:
For accounting purposes, a moderator must enter an accounting code before being able to join a conference call.

3. Alternative Dial-in Number
Definition:A direct-dial phone number with a (404) area code that allows any international participants to join your conference; international participant joining through this number will be responsible for their own international long distance charges.

4. Announcer-A Budget Conferencing representative actively providing assistance to the moderator(s) throughout the call. This might include welcoming participants, introducing speakers and leading an Electronic Question and Answer Session.

5. Application Sharing:
In Web conferencing, the ability to share certain programmes or the chairperson's desktop with the rest of the conference, enabling multiple participants to directly collobarate on documents and a multitude of programs.

Definition:Monthly summary or statement of conferencing activity

The piece of conferencing equipment used to connect three or more telephone lines so that everyone can participate in the same telephone call.

Definition:The Conference Bridge is hardware used by telephone service providers to bring three or more participants together on a conference call.

16. Conference Bridge Number:The Conference Bridge Number is a set of six numeric digits used to direct callers into a specific conference call. Callers enter the Conference Bridge Number after connecting to the conference call dial-in number.

17. Conference Call:-The meeting of two or more persons via the telephone for discussion of common matters

39. Email Invite:-An Email Invite is the electronic communication the host sends to request attendance on a conference call.

40. End a Conference Call
Simply hang up your telephone to End a Conference Call. (If the host enables Conference Call Continuation, the call will end when the last caller hangs up.)

41. Event Conferencing
Definition:A specialised solution for important calls that require service and attention to detail. Event Conferencing can be used for events with a small number of people or large-scale conferences with several thousand participants. Event conferences have a dedicated operator helping you to plan the event and available to assist you during the event. Event conferencing is best used for meetings such as large scale route management meetings, town hall meetings, earnings report meetings, etc.

43. Guest Speaker:-A Guest Speaker is an additional presenter on a conference call. After connecting to a conference call, Guest Speakers must enter a special five-digit code provided by the host. Guest Speakers are not muted when the host enables the Mute All feature.

Definition:Web conferencing platform built into the audio conference to share a PowerPoint, conduct an on-line chat or give a poll

46. International Dial-In Number:
An International Dial-in Number is provided for callers dialing in from outside the 50 United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The host will incur the same per minute, per caller rate outlined in his or her calling plan. However, international callers will pay long-distance rates charged by their local telephone service provider.

Technology that allows you to stream audio over your computer via your Internet connection

48. Leader PIN
A personal identification number entered by the Chairperson/Leader after the conference code to start a Reservationless-Plus audio conference.

49. Lecture Mode:-Star command which allows you to mute all participants, only allowing moderators and speakers to speak.

50. Limited Use Pin:If selected, the code will deactivate after the designated number of uses. (i.e. the PIN will deactivate after 3 uses).

51. Listen-only Mode:
A one-way communication mode that enables conference participants to listen, without having the ability to speak to others on the conference. This feature is commonly used with larger calls to eliminate background noise.

52. Listen-only Participants Option:-Moderators who select this option will be provided a listen-only passcode in addition to a regular participant passcode. Participants who use the listen-only passcode will not be able to talk during the conference; they are in "listen-only" mode.

57. Moderator-The participant hosting the conference call. As a representative of the host organization, this person usually facilitates the conference or event.

58. Moderator-A Moderator is a person(s) who presides over a conference call or web meeting.

59. Moderator PIN
A Moderator PIN is the four-digit security code required to access our reservationless conference calling service. It ensures that only the host can originate and control a conference call, using all the conference calling features in the Web Manager.

60. MP3:-MP3 stands for MPEG Audio Layer 3, which refers to an audio technology that compresses CD-quality sound while retaining most of the original sound characteristics. Listeners can playback MP3 files on a PC, using media player software, or on a digital music player (like an iPod).

61. Mute:-Mute allows a host to block the broadcast of audio during a conference call. Participants can self-mute a by pressing (4) then (*) on their telephone keypads. A host can also mute the entire participant group by pressing (1) then (*) on his or her telephone keypad.

62. New Participant Entry Tone:
The New Participant Entry Tone announces new participants with an audio chime as they join a conference call. This feature is enabled by default, but the host can disable it by pressing (9) then (*) on his or her telephone keypad.

63. On-demand Conference Calls:On-demand Conference Calls do not require advanced scheduling. You can host a conference call 24 hours a day, seven days a week without prior notice.

64. Open Conference-A conference call where all lines are open so that all callers can be heard and can interact with each other freely. This feature is most commonly used with a small group of participants.

65. Operator Assisted
Definition:A conference in which an AccuConference operator moderates by giving an introduction, running a Q&A, and/or outdialing your participants

66. Operator Assisted:
An audio conferencing service that you book in advance. At the scheduled time, an operator greets callers and places them into the conference call.

67. Optional Time Extension:Bv's conference calling service has a six-hour time limit, however, the host can initiate an Optional Time Extension to continue the session when prompted five minutes before reaching the time limit.

71. Participant:-A Participant is a person who attends a host's web conference or conference call.

84. Q & A Mode
Definition:Muting all participant lines and allowing them to ask a question by telephone keypad indication

85. Question-and-Answer (Q&A) Mode
Definition:Question-and-Answer Mode allows a conference call host to mute all participants and allow conference call guests to virtually raise their hands by pressing (5) then (*) on their telephone keypads. The host can then unmute callers with questions and allow them to speak. If a question has already been asked and answered, a participant can lower their hand by pressing (5) then (*) on their telephone keypad again. The host can also lower a hand by double clicking on it in the Web Manager. Also see Presentation Mode and Conversation Mode.

86. Reservationless
Definition:The ability to hold a call whenever you need by just calling into our bridge with the access number and using the codes assigned to your account. You do not need to notify us of your calls under 50 participants.

87. Reservationless
Definition:Reservationless means no scheduling, reservation or advanced notice is required.

88. Reservationless Conference Call:A reservationless conference call is one that does not require advanced scheduling. You can host a conference call 24 hours a day, seven days a week without prior notice.

89. Reservationless-Plus:This is an audio conferencing service that requires no reservation or operator assistance to start the call. You are issued dedicated dial-in numbers, a conference code and Leader PIN which you use to start your Reservationless-Plus conference call at anytime, from anywhere. This can host calls with up to 125 participants on the call.

90. Roll Call:Roll Call plays back recorded attendee names when the Attendee Name Announce feature is enabled. A host can listen to the Roll Call by pressing (7) then (*) on his or her telephone keypad.

96. Talk/Listen Mode
Definition:Talk/Listen Mode allows participants to talk and listen during a conference call (up to 25 participants at a time for FreeConferencing and up to 50 participants at a time for toll-free TeleConferencing). This mode is ideal for collaborative conference calls that require the exchange of information.

97. TeleConference
Definition:TeleConference is synonymous with telephone conference, conference call and audio conference, which connect three or more people on the same call. Also see Conference Call.

98. Telephone Conference
Telephone Conference is synonymous with TeleConference, conference call and audio conference, which connect three or more people on the same call. Also see Conference Call.

99. Teleseminar:
A Teleseminar is a workshop or lecture presented via telephone. It is usually a two-way interaction between the audience and the presenter(s).

100. Toll Call:A Toll Call is a long-distance telephone call that requires the caller to pay long-distance rates. Long-distance rates are determined by each caller's long-distance service provider and specific calling plan.
